Garrett is an associate in the firm’s Business Restructuring and Bankruptcy, and Litigation Groups.
His bankruptcy practice is focused on legal issues related to commercial bankruptcy, receiverships, secured transactions, contested matters and adversary proceedings, and other insolvency matters. Garrett has represented debtors, creditors and court appointed fiduciaries in navigating chapter 7, chapter 11, subchapter V and chapter 13 bankruptcies.
Garrett also assists the litigation group with general commercial and civil litigation cases representing individuals and businesses across diverse industries. Garrett has also worked on several land use and development matters.
Garrett began his career at Richards, Layton & Finger in Wilmington, Delaware and recently relocated back to his hometown here in Portland, Oregon.
During law school, Garrett served as an articles editor for the Tulane Law Review. He also spent time studying in Jordan and Hong Kong during his academic career.
