Legal issues are often complicated and frustrating, and that is why I believe it is important to have a dedicated and intelligent attorney on your side. I make myself available to all of my clients, no matter how big or small, and seek to find the most effective and efficient solutions to their problems.

Throughout my career, I have worked on a variety of legal matters across a wide-array of industries. This experience allows me to view my clients’ problems through a critical lens and work towards creative solutions. I do not believe in a “one-size fits all” approach to practicing law, as every issue is unique and every client deserves a more thoughtful approach.

  • Part of the legal team that successfully reorganized an Oregon-based fast food restaurant chain through the Chapter 11, Subchapter V process. The reorganization included a combination of downsizing operations, closing unprofitable locations, discharging COVID-related debt (including substantial government loans), and facilitating the sale of the debtor’s equity interests to the post-petition lender.
  • Assisted in the successful Chapter 11, Subchapter V reorganization of a Washington-based aerospace manufacturer. The consensual plan involved reducing the debtor’s secured and unsecured debt obligations, selling the debtor’s office building, and streamlining operations to maintain profitability.
  • Obtained a highly favorable settlement for a secured lender in the Chapter 11, Subchapter V bankruptcy of an Oregon-based oyster farming operation, after litigating the debtor’s proposed use of cash collateral and prosecuting a motion for relief from stay.
  • Part of the legal team representing the Plan Agent in a Chapter 11 bankruptcy case involving the liquidation of a large operating dairy farm (11,000 + animals) in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Washington. Our team advised the Plan Agent on all aspects of the case, including obtaining court approval for the sale of assets, investigating and resolving disputed claims, and recovering assets that had been fraudulently transferred to third parties. The dairy’s assets ultimately sold for $23.15 million.
  • Acted as local debtors’ counsel on several high-profile bankruptcies filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
  • Represented an unsecured creditor in a complex Chapter 11, Subchapter V bankruptcy in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Oregon.  Our team was able to blocked confirmation of the debtor’s plan that sought to conceal valuable assets that would be made available for the payment of unsecured creditors. In this matter, I also achieved a contempt ruling and award of attorneys’ fees against the debtor’s representatives for failing to comply with a discovery order.
  • Obtained full dismissal with prejudice of civil RICO, conspiracy, unjust enrichment and other claims against client in highly litigious matter.

  • Oregon State Bar Debtor-Creditor Section
    • Member, Executive Committee (2024)
