About the Award

The William N. Stiles Award of Merit is of particular significance to Sussman Shank LLP because it was named after our late partner, Bill Stiles.  Bill practiced law at Sussman Shank from 1972 until his death in 2006.  He served as the Debtor-Creditor Section Chair from 1979-1980 and was the recipient of the Award of Merit in 1996.  Bill’s generosity, encyclopedic knowledge of the law, professionalism, and high ethical standards made him an ideal mentor and role model to scores of lawyers.
