Sussman Shank LLP is pleased to welcome two attorneys to our firm. Steven Cade joins the firm’s growing Litigation team as Special Counsel, and Garrett Eggen also joins the firm’s litigation and Business Restructuring and Bankruptcy teams as an Associate.

Steven Cade

Steven Cade joins the firm’s Litigation Group as Special Counsel.

He brings over a decade of diverse litigation experience, including commercial litigation, construction law, products liability, elder, and transportation law.  Steven is counsel to individuals and businesses large and small throughout the state and federal courts in Oregon.  Additionally, Steven handles appeals in Oregon appellate courts.

Most recently Steven was a partner with Williams, Kastner, & Gibbs in Portland, and prior to that he that worked with Lorber, Greenfield, & Polito for five years.

Steven earned his J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law and his B.A. in Philosophy from the University of the Pacific.  He is admitted to practice law in Oregon.  Steven is also a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, Infantry, serving three years (2003-2006) with the 101st Airborne Division.

Garrett Eggen

Garrett Eggen joins the firm’s Business Restructuring and Bankruptcy Group, and Litigation Group as an Associate.

Garrett’s bankruptcy experience includes representing Chapter 11 debtors in corporate bankruptcy and restructuring, bankruptcy litigation, and other insolvency matters.  His litigation practice will be focused on serving individuals and businesses across diverse industries in a variety of commercial and civil litigation cases.

Garrett began his career at Richards, Layton & Finger in Wilmington, Delaware and recently relocated back to his home town here in Portland, Oregon.  He is a member of the Delaware State Bar and is not admitted to practice law in Oregon.

Garrett earned his J.D. from Tulane Law School, cum laude, and received his B.S. from Santa Clara University.  During law school, Garrett served as Vice President of the International Law Society and was the articles editor for the Tulane Law Review.
