Sarah works with clients on a variety of general business and real estate matters including business sales and acquisitions, real estate transactions, and entity formation. Sarah utilizes her experience working with a diverse group of businesses and individuals in her previous positions to assist and support clients in achieving the best results possible.

Prior to joining Sussman Shank, Sarah served as a Research Assistant while attending the University of Oregon School of Law, working primarily on updating a treatise for Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code and gaining greater knowledge of secured transactions. As a participant in the school’s Advanced Domestic Violence Clinic, Sarah gained further experience representing survivors of intimate partner violence in numerous family law matters, both in and out of court. Concurrently, Sarah served as a Law Clerk for a law firm in Eugene, Oregon, working on various business, tax, and health care matters.

As a practical matter, I seek to ensure my approach to law meets the unique needs of each person or business I serve. I prioritize diligence, responsiveness, and knowledge, working closely with clients through every step of the process. I continually work to remain well-versed in areas of law that are relevant to clients, expanding my practice beyond a single field.

PERSONAL INTERESTS

I would describe myself as a bit of a serial hobbyist. Over the years I have dabbled in everything from glass blowing to cheesemaking. I am most excited by the opportunity to try something new. The summer before my final year of law school I completed my SCUBA certification on the Oregon coast, went skydiving for the first time, and successfully caught a wave surfing. More recently, I picked up curling, and I have been enjoying it immensely.

As an Oregon native and Portland newcomer, I look forward to getting involved in more local activities.
