Sussman Shank LLP Receives RecycleWorks Award
Portland -- Sussman Shank LLP is being honored as a RecycleWorks business by the City of Portland’s Sustainable Development Office and Metro. RecycleWorks, formerly known as BlueWorks, recognizes environmentally friendly companies which go above and beyond recycling and are committed to sustainable business practices.
Sussman Shank kicked off our green campaign in April 2007. Realizing paper is our biggest source of waste, we buy 30% (or higher) post-consumer, chlorine-free recycled paper products. To reduce, reuse and recycle, we e-mail more, edit documents on the computer, store files electronically, update mailing lists, minimize margins and print duplex or even four pages to a side. Not only is our paper recycled, but our toner cartridges are reused, and our file folders are acid-free.
When visiting Sussman Shank LLP, you’ll find recycling centers for paper, bottles and cans. Check out our Energy Star™ efficient kitchen appliances and copy room printers. Our break room has reusable dishes, silverware and glassware; even our disposable cups are corn based!
