Overview
Health Care
Gabi primarily represents long-term care and other health care providers in business, regulatory, and litigation matters.  In her ten years of practice as a lawyer, she has represented long-term care providers both large and small. She regularly advises providers on HIPAA/HITECH compliance, the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, licensing issues, and compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.

She often advises facilities on contentious resident issues ranging from collections of accounts receivables from various pay sources to resident rights, resident capacity, and resident transfer issues. She also regularly represents facilities in insurance disputes and recoupment issues, including TRICARE and other insurance entities.

In addition, Gabi drafts and provides training about admission agreements, resident handbooks, and related facility documents. She advises long-term care facilities regarding vendor business disputes and disputes with residents and families.  She has experience with the corporate practice of medicine doctrine in the nursing home context and billing and incorporating nurse practitioner services in skilled nursing facilities.

Gabi's science background provides her a unique perspective from which to appreciate the medical issues that usually surround these cases.  She is also a frequent presenter and author for the Oregon Health Care Association.

With her friendly, no nonsense approach, she is an effective lawyer who believes in providing great customer service to every client.

Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights
In addition to her long-term care practice, Ms. Sanchez helps banks, lenders, and private lenders navigate the complex foreclosure and workout process.  She is an expert in Oregon foreclosure law and has handled many foreclosures from large commercial properties to residential foreclosures with convoluted title issues.  She enjoys the complexity of her foreclosure practice as if it were a puzzle waiting to be solved.
