Professional Experience
Chris Burdett is an attorney in the firm's Litigation, Business, and Real Estate Practice Groups. His practice focuses on commercial litigation, real estate, and land use matters in both state and federal courts. Chris has experience in all aspects of litigation including discovery, motion practice, settlement, trial, and appeal.
For over a decade, Chris has represented and assisted individuals, businesses, and corporate clients in a variety of matters focusing on complex business and real estate disputes. Chris has significant experience in the following areas:

- Land Use
- Real Estate
- Insurance
- Class Action Defense
In addition to litigation, Chris regularly advises clients on land use matters and real estate transactions. These representations include successfully representing a property owner in a land use appeal, evaluating proposed developments for compliance with zoning and land use regulations, and documenting real estate sales involving nonconforming lots or lot line issues.
Prior to joining Sussman Shank, Chris was an attorney at Dechert LLP, an international law firm in San Francisco, and also an attorney at Schwabe Williamson & Wyatt in Portland.
